Emma Silk Jacket - Black

$213.90 USD

A very versatile jacket cut from our signature super-smooth stretch silk-satin. This piece is cut to cover the bottom and earns its keep in your wardrobe doubling up as a pajama jacket (try it tucked into the Manon Trousers) and a daytime piece - we like to wear ours with the Ning Camisole and denim.

The Emma Jacket has long sleeves which can be rolled up and buttoned in place for practicality. The sleeves are designed with a feminine curved cut out to highlight the wrist bone. The jacket buttons all the way through to the collar.

Finished with piping at the collar, front panel and pocket.

MAISONZHOU is a capsule collection of luxury lingerie and loungewear for women, crafted from silk and lace. MAISONZHOU support sustainable practise, working with a small family-owned factory in China, producing small runs of beautifully-finished and made-to-last pieces.

MAISONZHOU was founded by British designer Sophie Corlett, whose childhood love of 1920s Hollywood movies and vintage fashion fused with her grown-up love of travel and of Asia, where she has lived since 2004.

Brought up in a family of retailers in the rural English countryside, Sophie’s interest in the clothing and fashion industries started when she was very young. Choosing law as her first career, after working in London, Sophie relocated to Hong Kong where she fell in love with the sights, sounds and energy of her adopted city.

Inspired by street style, combining East and West and adding statement luxury fashion pieces to everyday wardrobes, this became Sophie's inspiration to launch MAISONZHOU in October 2015.

The vintage-inspired pieces are carefully cut from the brand's signature stretch-silk for a super-flattering fit, beautiful, ultra-feminine and contemporary. Silk not only feels beautiful on the skin but is temperature-regulating and has anti-aging properties. The line has strong Asian influences, reflected in the choice of fabrics, designs and prints.

    SUSTAINABILITY

MAISONZHOU focuses on sustainability, working with a small family-owned factory in China and producing small runs of beautifully-finished and made-to-last pieces. Each order is delivered to you in a soft cotton-twill garment bag which can be reused again and again.

MAISONZHOU actively supports the Singapore Committee for UN Women whilst Sophie acts a mentor on the Asian University for Women's mentorship scheme.

Sophie currently lives in Singapore with her French husband Jude and their two children.
