KEARA bags are made in Senegal by talented artisans, detailed with traditional Aguayo from Bolivia. KEARA production processes are transparent, supporting fair labor and wages offering skills-based training to young artisans through workshops and training services.
Founded by Adriana Valcarce, a young Bolivian woman who fell in love with Senegal in 2013 when she was only 22 years old. She discovered some invisible links between Senegal and her Bolivian roots which inspired her to bring this to life through design. Adriana is also passionate about children's rights with the work she does through UNICEF and in early childhood development.

The story of KEARA is not just one of a new accessories brand. It is one of entrepreneurship, empowerment of artisans, global fashion dialogue, and a celebration of multiculturalism. KEARA is a mix of cultures and traditions, by blending the different cultures that reflect a connected world.
KEARA bags tells the stories of generations of women weavers through each of its colourful threads. Their artisans in Senegal, have inherited their skills from one generation to another, and work to preserve them by passing their craftsmanship to younger fellow artisans. They work with passion and take pride in producing high end leather goods that are 100% made in Senegal.
KEARA are a small company, working with three artisans: a leather worker, a sewer and a young apprentice. Equipped with high end tools and materials imported from different parts of the world. They source premium Spanish bovine full grain leather, as well as suede leather and nubuck, using swiss-made Riri zippers, and high quality solid brass hardware made in the US. Their colourful weavings come from Bolivia. Their Bolivian fabrics celebrate women's efforts to preserve millinery textile traditions of the Andes region of South America, using them to create functional and fashionable accessories that can be used on a daily basis.
